Some Of The Best Review

The unidentified recordings on this budget compilation come from Rosemary Clooney's stint at Reprise Records, 1963-64. Nelson Riddle contributes arrangements and conducts half of them (the ones originally released on the Love album), and the song list is full of standards by the likes of Harold Arlen, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, and Cole Porter that Clooney handles masterfully. At a budget price, the album makes a good buy, but the compilers might have clued potential buyers in to the source of the recordings. ~ William Ruhlmann, All Music Guide
