Fly Me To The Moon Review

This is the fifth of five ten-track budget compilations culled from The Judy Garland Show TV series of 1963-64. The selections range across four decades, from the 1930 copyright "A Cottage For Sale" to the 1961 song "Sweet Danger," though there is a heavy complement of stage and film material by the classic pop songwriters of the 1930s and '40s, especially lyricist E.Y. Harburg, whose "Old Devil Moon," "Happiness Is A Thing Called Joe," and "Down With Love" are included. Garland is in good voice and performs enthusiastically before Mort Lindsay's orchestra playing arrangements written by Mel Tormé. ~ William Ruhlmann, All Music Guide
