Bohemio Y Poeta Review

This release was a transition between Blades's post-Willie Colon sound and the '80s Seis del Solar. The salsa sounds predominate much of the time, and there's a Cuban classic in among his own compositions. But keyboards and vibes (presumably from Louie Ramirez, who did some of the arranging) point to a new dispensation in the offing, with their (here, at least, very successful) fusion edge. ~ John Storm Roberts, All Music Guide
