Not the absolute masterpiece some Springsteen fanatics contend it is--it really is overblown in spots, and maybe a tad too Spectorian for its own good--but one hell of good pop record. Contains "Thunder Road," "Jungleland," "Backstreets," and of course the title track--which essentially have served as the backbone of his live concert performances for nearly two decades.
