(2/12/99, 1 a.m. PST) - Comedian Jeff Foxworthy, whose "redneck" schtick has yielded two triple-platinum-selling albums, has departed Warner Bros. Records and moved over to DreamWorks Nashville. Foxworthy is the best-selling comedy recording artist in history. His hit recordings include You Might Be A Redneck If... and Games Rednecks Play. Foxworthy has also penned nine best-selling books on the "redneck" theme. "I'm very excited," Foxworthy said in a statement. "This is the best record deal I've had since I got those 10 CDs for a penny." It should be noted that the DreamWorks label is helmed by Mo Ostin and Lenny Waronker, the two executives who guided Warner Bros. Records for years before launching DreamWorks Records with David Geffen. Foxworthy will next be seen hosting the TNN/ Music City News Awards on June 14. -- Lisa Zhito, Nashville Got news tips, comments, or questions? Send them to newstips@mylaunch.com.
