At its core a collaboration between the duo Peter Kater and Chris White, Flesh & Bones maintained a relatively low profile throughout the '90s, though still garnered modest acclaim in the new age community. Kater serves as Flesh & Bone's musical element, being a pianist/keyboardist. Conversely, White brings a vocal element to the music, writing sincere lyrics from a feminine point of view and delivering them in an elegant, sometimes almost wordless manner. The duo also worked with additional musicians like cellist David Darling to bring an organic element to the mainly synthesizer-based music.
